Privacy Policy โ GW Pipeline
Last updated: 27 October 2026
GW Pipeline ("the app") is a private tool used by the owner of the YouTube channel Gilded Wreckage to upload the channel's own finished videos to the owner's own YouTube channels (public, scheduled or private) and to read those channels' own statistics. The owner may operate more than one channel; each is signed in separately. The app has one user: the channel owner. This policy explains what the app does with data from Google and YouTube.
What the app accesses
When the channel owner signs in with Google, the app asks for permission to:
- upload and manage the owner's own videos (YouTube scopes
youtube.uploadandyoutube.force-ssl): uploading videos, setting their thumbnails, adding captions, and setting or removing their scheduled publish time; - read the owner's own channels (
youtube.readonly): each channel's id and title, used to check that a video goes to the right channel, and its recent uploads, used to avoid uploading a video twice; and public video data (titles and view counts of public videos on candidate topics), used only to choose future episodes; - read the owner's own channel analytics (
yt-analytics.readonly): views, watch time, audience retention, click-through rate and subscribers, used to plan future episodes.
The app does not access other people's channels, comments, messages, subscriptions or personal data, and does not collect data from viewers.
How the data is stored
- The sign-in token is stored only on the owner's own computer, in a folder outside the app's code, and is never shared, uploaded or logged.
- Analytics figures are stored in a local database on the same computer and are used only by the owner.
- Public video data used for topic research is deleted, or reduced to video IDs, once it has gone 30 days without a refresh.
- No data from Google or YouTube is sold, shared with third parties, used for advertising, or used to train AI models.
How long it is kept
Analytics figures are kept while a channel is active, to compare episodes over time, and are refreshed from YouTube when the owner's reports run. If access is revoked, the app stops refreshing and the stored figures are deleted. The owner can delete all stored data at any time by deleting the app's local database and token.
Revoking access
Access can be revoked at any time at Google Account โ Security โ Third-party apps. The app then stops working until it is authorised again.
Google and YouTube
The app uses YouTube API Services. Google's privacy policy applies to data held by Google: policies.google.com/privacy. YouTube's Terms of Service: youtube.com/t/terms.
